I'm not sure about other players, but I think they should do a full reset down to the creation of the character. Meaning they should leave the name, but beyond that they should reset it all. Race, sect, specialization should all be reset. I mean that is just my own opinion, but I think it would be a decent choice to make. Unless the items in question from the mercenary pack, [beta] events, and other various efforts during our time spent here in the [beta] are locked down to our PlayStation Network ID -- then I could see a full wipe including character names as well.
Again just my opinion. |

I would agree. We as players are far wiser to what those chocies mean now than when we first made them. Also, should CCP make changes to the races or starting classes (logi starter please ) it would gives us a chance to select them without leaving our ID behind. I would support that.
Well they should also add in two more classes from the start for both command, and operator dropsuits. My point exactly though. Most of us whom have been playing now know what we want, but would enjoy also keeping our names. I just feel a full reset down to the bone would be a good choice. Whether we can keep our name(s), or if they'll delete those too at release is unknown, but I think this should be given some amount of consideration as to what should or will happen with the release of Dust514. |

By 4 or 5 million sp it could be hard to tell what starter was picked, the skill needed for roles overlap enough. And the skils given in starter packages at launch will be race specific, Amarr assault will use laser not ar for example. Each race will probably have a unique name as well for its starters. It would be nice if employment history for testers showed the corps we were in during beta. So mine would say imperial guard 28june12 to 18aug12, zumari force protection 18aug12 to -, I don't remember date of wipe, 18th is close at least.
Will there be an open beta, the game will contiune development after launch, so open beta and release may be the same thing. 2+ more wipes seem about right, just want it in employment history as a trophy of the testing/crashing ps3.
Hm. I highly doubt that an open [beta] would be the same as the actual release, or vice versa. This is not PlayStation Home. Where it will stay perpetually in an open [beta] simply because, the staff at Sony is inept, and unwilling to actually take any form of heat, or blame for the shody programming. Nonetheless though I would highly hope that not be the case for Dust514. That would be a horrible business decision on the part of CCP. Now as for what you pruprosed above? I like it, and find it to be a very good idea myself personally. Haveing an option across the board for all players to have a more advanced option in which you are given a small sum total of the skill points that would have otheriwse been automatically invested for you, and allowed to invest them as you see fit yourself. Not a bad idea at all. It would not take away from the other options and choices either where the game automatically invests those said skill points.
The employment history should also reflect us closed [beta] testers too. If not only for nostalgic reasons, and for those corporations whom are prospecting for players -- this would allow them to see who played during the closed testing [beta] phases, and those whom have not. Not a bad idea either. All-in-all? Great ideas across the board.
Plus one to you, sir. |

Wrong thread, but the call-in menu is [right] on your d-pad (Directional Pad). Pressing [down] brings up your heads up map, and pressing [up] brings up the score and player list. Of course [left] is used for communication if have left your push-to-talk left as is in the [on] position. |

Yes, there will be a fourth option under the call-in menu when you receive an in-game accomadation, and are SL (Squad Leader). You'll see the option under dropships. |
